20 Years!
I’ve been blessed to spend the last 2o years of my life, married to my best friend.
We had the opportunity to go on a cruise this week to celebrate.

I LOVE RESURRECTION SUNDAY, better known as Easter! I love everything about it!
I’m not talking about the fluffy bunny or the colored eggs. I’m talking about JESUS!
Easter is a day when people are more open to going to a church service, and hearing The Gospel. That get’s me PUMPED!
We are having 2 worship opportunities this Easter at Faith Renewed. Service times are 9 & 11:30 AM. We would love to have you! If you can’t make here, go somewhere and celebrate that JESUS is ALIVE!

I wonder if God has ever said those words to us?
How many things do we TRY to do on our own?
I’ve seen people try to do everything from fix a relational or financial issue, to earn their salvation.
Here’s a little bit of helpful info for you, STOP! ANYTHING YOU CAN DO, HE CAN DO BETTER!
Psalm 55:22 says, cast your cares on the Lord, and He will sustain you.
He really does care about EVERY area of your life. Allow Jesus to show you how GOOD He is.
If you are TRYING to earn your salvation, again I say, STOP!
Ephesians 2:8 says, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is THE GIFT of God.
It will make life A LOT easier when you quit trying to compete with Him.
Believe me, I know. Been there, done that. HE WINS EVERY TIME!
Easier Said Than Done…
Is the title of a great country song from the 90’s by Radney Foster. (I always thought Radney was underrated)
Also, a popular saying, that I’ve let roll off my tongue a few times.
Have you ever stopped, and thought about the truth in those words?
It’s a lot easier to SAY, I’m going to:
- go to the gym, THAN it is to set my clock at 5 AM and get my tail out of bed and go.
- eat better, THAN it is to push the chips (curse you FritoLay) aside.
- love my wife and kids, THAN it is to put the time in and prove it.

What if we actually did what we said? How much more would we accomplish? How would our life be different?
What would our relationship with Jesus look like?
I often say, if it was easy, everyone would do it. That’s true when it comes to discipleship…
Dietrich Bonhoeffer said it best, “Salvation is free, but discipleship will cost you your life.”
Discipleship takes our time, effort, energy, money, and the list could go on… It’s expensive, but worth it.
Jesus said to make disciples. That’s His first call on our life. That’s WAY easier said, than done, but it can happen.
Get in His presence, seek Him, & read His Word.
Discover just how exciting the journey can be!
