Truth: the true or actual state of a matter

Let’s be honest…Truth is one of those things we say we want to hear.  That is, until it involves us or challenges our belief system.

We’ve ALL heard about the situation with Duck Dynasty’s, Phil Robertson.  I’m not here to say what’s already been said a MILLION TIMES (at least).  I’m a Christian, and an American so you know how I feel about that situation.

I believe we forget something very important during things like this.  ALL OF US have sinned and need a Savior.  EVERYONE reading this post needs Jesus. Whether you think a homosexual relationship is “sick” or you’re in the middle of one right now.  It’s very easy to point out the sin of others, while overlooking our own.  WE’VE ALL DONE THAT!

Don’t get me wrong. NOW MORE THAN EVER, we need to stand up for our rights.  We need to protect our freedom and declare the TRUTH of God’s Word.  Let’s just make sure we don’t forget to show the love of Jesus as we enjoy our freedoms.

We’re just a few days out from Christmas.   This is a time when we (hopefully) reflect on the TRUTH that God came to this world in the form of a baby named Jesus.  Let’s remember, He came because WE NEEDED HIM.  He came came because we could never make it to heaven without Him.  He came because we’ve ALL sinned.  He came because more than anything else, HE LOVES us.  ALL OF US.
