Our identity is NOT the color of our hair, or skin. It’s NOT how much $$$ we have in the bank.
I’m not the shoes I wear/ I’m not the clothes I buy/
I’m not the house I live in/ I’m not the car I drive/
I’m not the job I work /You can’t define my worth/
By nothing on God’s green earth, my identity is found in Christ. (a little Lecrae reference there)
You may be saying, I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I’ve done drugs, was an alcoholic, had sex before marriage, been divorced, etc…
Don’t EVER let your failure or the failure of others define you!
None of these things reflect the REAL YOU.
Your TRUE IDENTITY is NOT based on what you see when you look in the mirror.
It’s what you see when you close your eyes! WHO’S ON THE INSIDE of you?
2 Corinthians 5:16-21 in The Message says,
Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you. How? you say. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.
God wants to take you to the NEXT LEVEL of faith. You will never be able to go there looking at THE OLD YOU! The enemy will keep you restricted from this area until you know who you are IN CHRIST.
You will NEVER be able to get to the next level with the wrong ID card.
If you’re a Christian, DON’T EVER let the enemy condemn you.
If you haven’t surrendered your life to Christ, do so TODAY. Let Him make you NEW.
He will give you a NEW IDENTITY. It will take you places you can only dream of.
Prayer is NOT OPTIONAL for a Christian.
E.M. Bounds said,
“Prayer breaks all bars, dissolves all chains, opens all prisons, and widens all straits by which God’s saints have been held.”
It’s one of our most valuable, but least used weapons in our arsenal.
Jesus spoke 3 WORDS that have really been challenging ME lately. He said, “WHEN YOU PRAY.”
There are really only 2 good times to pray. When you feel like it, and when you don’t.
That’s me and you… We have the great privilege of walking into the throne room of the creator of the universe for ourselves. Enjoy Him as a Good Father that LOVES to spend time with YOU.
Talk to Him and take time to listen. You’ll be glad you did.
Healing is one of those subjects that raise some eyebrows.
Probably because there are so many extremes in this area.
You have one group saying, God doesn’t heal ANYMORE. Apparently, He got tired or something like that.
One group saying, God CAN heal, but only chooses certain people. NOT SURE how that works either.
Yet another saying, God heals, IF you have enough faith and order the bottle of oil or water from their infomercial.
Here are a few things I’ve learned about healing:
1. God HEALED.
Throughout the Bible (Old & New Testament) we see healing take place.
2. God HEALS.
I’ve personally been healed and witnessed others be healed. Not always in my timing and in my way.
3. God WILL HEAL.
There will come a day when this fallen world will pass away and a new heaven and a new earth will come. For the follower of Jesus this is AWESOME NEWS!
Revelation 21:3&4 says, And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
There WILL come a day when we have unbroken fellowship with our Lord. In His presence there is NO SICKNESS (physical or emotional) of ANY KIND.
Sunday night we were having a time of fellowship at church and someone had a need.
So, WE PRAYED and trusted God for the answer. Guess what? HE HEALED.
Stop trying to DEAL with what Jesus came to HEAL.
So, what’s the answer to the question of the day?
DOES GOD HEAL??? YES.
Rest in HIS promises.
We are kicking off a NEW SERIES tomorrow at Faith Renewed entitled 3 WORDS.
Join us Easter Sunday at 9:15 or 11:15 am to hear 3 WORDS that will change your life forever.
