I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ~2 Timothy 4:7
It’s amazing how certain scriptures can speak one way into your life one day, & a completely different way on another… This has been the case with this verse. I’ve read, quoted, & preached from this verse many times, but it’s been hitting me in a different way lately.
In the “Fight of Faith” it’s real easy to want to measure success or failure by whether or not we got our prayer answered, the way WE wanted it answered.
If we prayed a certain way for something, and it happened the way we asked, WE WIN! If not, WE LOSE… Maybe we will get ’em next time. (Like it was a sporting event or something.)
In this verse Paul won, because he KEPT THE FAITH.
If you read the Bible, you know that everything didn’t always work out for Paul. A LOT of the Books that he wrote, were written from prison. Not your ideal vacation destination location for writing best sellers.
You may be facing a difficult situation, or just came out of one that didn’t work out like you hoped it would… I just want to encourage you to stay in the fight! Stay in faith!
You WIN when you don’t quit!
