This week at Faith Renewed I shared from Psalm 100:1-5.

1Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!

2Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.

3Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

5For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

This is an AWESOME Psalm!

Some great things in this one to be mindful of as 2018 gets underway.

Here are 3 that stood out to me.

  1. PRAISE The Lord JOYFULLY There are SO MANY things I could share about this point…but to keep it simple…OUR PRAISE MATTERS!  It opens doors, defeats the enemy, reveals our heart, and the list goes on and on…
  2. SERVE The Lord GLADLYTHIS IS HUGE!!! Every person was created to serve the Lord.  God didn’t make you, and then try to find a purpose for you.  BEFORE you were every thought of by your parents, God had a plan for you.   We discover that purpose through serving HIM!
  3. KNOW The Lord PERSONALLYGod doesn’t want us to only know ABOUT Him…He wants us to KNOW HIM.  To think that the One who created this world, desire to have a personal relationship with me continually blows my mind!

Worrier or Warrior?

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

LIFE in 3D

This past Sunday at Faith Renewed I spoke from Psalm 1.

1Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,

Nor stands in the path of sinners,

Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

2But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

3He shall be like a tree

Planted by the rivers of water,

That brings forth its fruit in its season,

Whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatever he does shall prosper.

4The ungodly are not so,

But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,

Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,

But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

This is an amazing Psalm to focus on as we move into 2018!

We get to see how someone can walk in the blessing of God, and a picture of what their life will look like.

  • DENIES
Verse 1 shows us what a blessed person denies.  None of us really like to be told what NOT to do…BUT this is critical in being able to walk in the blessing of God.  We need to BE CAREFUL who we hang with.  It may sound old school, but it’s good advice!  I’m not saying, that Christians shouldn’t reach out to everyone…WE SHOULD!  Jesus showed us what this should like.  Jesus reached out to the world so they could become like Him.  Not the other way around.
  • DELIGHTS
Verse 2 shows us what the blessed person delights in.  This is speaking of the Bible.  Spend some time in The Word of God EVERYDAY this year.  Some days you may just have time for one verse, but MAKE IT HAPPEN!   The word meditate means to speak or mutter.  So don’t just read the Bible…DECLARE God’s Word over your situation!   God’s Word is just as powerful coming out your mouth, as it was from HIS.
  • DESCRIBED
Verse 3 shows us how the blessed person is described.  Like a tree planted by the river, with leaves that can’t wither, and producing seasonal fruit…THAT’S AWESOME!   I love to spend time on the river.  I’ve seen some pretty MASSIVE trees there.  The next time you see a big tree…release your FAITH!

This is what God desires for you in 2018.

I would LOVE for this to be the most incredible year you’ve ever experienced!

Minnesota Fun!

Had the opportunity to go to Minnesota, hang out with some great friends, make some new ones, and kill a few ducks.
